The Democratic Party Has Never Been This Broad and Unified.
Damn it feels good. We finally got everybody under the tent and on the same page.

Conversely, the republicans are splintered and fragmented.

Now let's go kick some ass! :kick:

2. We were solid with Kerry in 04
but we didn't have the organization and ground game the Obama campaign has. Remember that the Kerry vote set records in 04 that will be broken this year.

6. Kerry also had a lot of anti-Bush instead of pro-Kerry energy
The poll internals indicate that Obama supporters are much more excited about Obama than McCain's supporters are about McCain. A lot of McCain's support is coming from the "lesser of two evils" types.

3. CNN just ran a live report from Gwinnett Cnty BOE, Lawrenceville, GA......
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 08:23 AM by nc4bo
Doors open at 9 a.m. and already there is an hour long, long line of people waiting to cast their vote. Some arrived at 8:15 a.m. only to find the line was already long.

I think the Mccain campaign and the right-wing nutjobs will be in for a rude awakening..........

One lady said she votes early every election to avoid interfering with her job. She said today was her 2nd visit, that yesterday she said the lines were too long for her to wait and she'd have to come back earlier (today).

It's undeniable that these people, and others like them, all over the United States are making a profound statement. A statement that cannot be heard but seen. A statement said in unison: "ENOUGH!"

Can you IMAGINE that??

Whoa boy - Georgia, can it be?

4. This new generation Dem party has a chance to be the largest, strongest, and most diverse EVER!
So yes, I agree with your post. Granted we'll always have the 5% lunatic fringe who you will never please, but that's to be expected.

9. Historic candidate
Speaking just for myself, of course, it's much easier to get excited about Obama than it was for dry, dull, Droopy Dog Kerry. That's one of the several reasons why Obama is going to win, and win big.

I admit, it is a nice change, and I am proud of my party.
