Just tuned in and don't see posted: Could JOE not show his face this MORNING?

Have they explained on "Morning Joe" why Joe is not there? Or can I guess whether it was the shopping spree on the RNC, the kids' trips on the State of Alaska, the ignorance of the duties of the Vice President -- or NBC's own polling proof that Joe's obsession, Sarah Palin, is a worse drag on the GOP ticket than George W. Bush, and not the future of the Republican party and the universe, and hot at the same time???

ON EDIT: I'm told by oviedodem that Mika explained that Joe is "on assignment."

I can imagine him on November 5th..
