McCain Brings Hope to Pennsylvania
There had been some pushback from McCain operatives about whether the Republican in fact intended to concede Colorado, as CNN had reported yesterday. In politics, however, money speaks louder than words, and the New York Times is now reporting that McCain may not spend further advertising monies in Colorado, as well as four states won by John Kerry in 2004:

Democrats who monitor advertising spending now put at five the number of states where Senator
John McCain is reducing his advertising – New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Colorado, Maine and
Minnesota.

In essence, Mr. McCain’s campaign has decided to spread the advertising time he bought for the
upcoming week in those states over the next two final weeks.

While station managers in the affected states said they were not ruling out the possibility
that Mr. McCain would pump money back in before election day, on Nov. 4, the move represents a
stark reordering of priorities.
.....................................................................................................

Overall it's an interesting analysis of what might be motivating a focus on PA, and why they might bring the "Good Reverend" back (something I know Obama has prepared for). What I found especially interesting was the refference to the LA Times piece with a McCain person claiming their data was "trending" towards McCain, and they were seeing things show up that weren't in the public polls.

How so many polls, that run the gamut from +8 to +15 for Obama could miss this information, I have no idea.

5. Honestly, I'm not sure what exactly the best reaction would be.
I don't have access to the data they've collected, or the "personal interviews" they've probably conducted of likely voters, but if they planned for Ayers (which they handled masterfully) they would have planned for Wright.

9. Honestly, I'd get out in front of it if I were Obama
Cut some ads with Obama repudiating Wright BEFORE McSame gets his on the air. Obviously they would only want to do this if they were sure McSame was going to bring up Wright but it would be highly effective in blunting any advantage he might get out of the good reverend

already has the Obama Wright/Ayers smear machine cranked up. McLame doesn't need to spend that much money on ads when he has the fixed news 24/7 ad channel for free.
