"I made a big mistake"
http://wcco.com/politics/michele.bachmann.mistake.2.845766.html

ST. PAUL (AP) ― Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann says she regrets using the term "anti-American" while discussing Barack Obama's views.

Bachmann told the St. Cloud Times on Tuesday that she "made a big mistake" by going on MSNBC's "Hardball" last week. During an interview with the Times' editorial board, she said: "I should not have used that phrase."

Her statement that Obama "may have anti-American views" drew condemnation and helped her opponent, Democrat Elwyn Tinklenberg, raise more than $1 million in just a few days.
Sen. Tarryl Clark, DFL-St. Cloud, attended the luncheon and said she didn't hear an apology from Bachmann.

"The facts are the facts about what she said and she can't erase them," Clark said. "She can apologize for them, but that's about it. People don't have the time for this. I thought she was denying what she said."

3. "I thought I was on Fox News where they would have agreed with my hate and urged me on
to spew more."

You said what you said...several times. We all heard you.

You just weren't prepared to be called on your crap.

Surprise.

4. Her mistake was saying outloud what she thought, and having it on tape.
I am sure that her only regret is being caught.

8. Yeah, but she claims her mistake was going on Hardball.
And then discounts her words as "should not have used that phrase", as though it was just a matter of phrasing and not a deeper problem of her views.

9. I love that these Republicans attack Obama and get shellacked for it. Mess with Obama, expect the
backlash to, figuratively, knock the crap out of you.

I love it. Barack doesn't even have to do anything - his supporters react. It reminds me of ABC being under siege after the pitiful George and Charlie debate.

The fundraising numbers in September ($150 mil) was the backlash to the attacks by Palin and Republicans, plus Obama being down for a week or two.

I look so forward to Republicans being scared to go after him as President.

The money he's gotten is the only reason you're apologizing.

her idiotic, disgusting comments she was something like 4 pts. ahead, has that budged since?

21. The only reason she's sorry...
is because her opponent has received a huge financial boost from her "mistake." It's the same old "you're sorry only because you got caught" scenario.

23. Sorry, but I was never afraid.
I sent several telegrams encouraging Gore not to concede the election and take to the streets if necessary to demand a full recount. He made a terrible mistake in believing that he was doing the right thing for the nation. He was dead wrong. The Republican Party bused thugs down to Florida to disrupt the recount and the fascist police refused to arrest the bastards. It was fine for the Republicans to engage in violent demonstrations pounding on the windows and doors of the election headquarters.

Gore should have told the Supreme Court, which had absolutely no authority, to go to hell and taken his case directly to the people. Kerry followed the same course of action. He should have had the balls of Theodore Roosevelt and challenged the Swift Boat liars and called Bush just what he was; nothing more than a chicken shit draft dodging coward right to his face on national television.

If this election is stolen, I would encourage massive peaceful, but determined demonstrations, to stop another fraudulent inauguration. Nothing more than the future of the Republic is at stake. How can it get any more ridiculous than to have a person who is running for Vice President with some old broken down fart that could croak any minute be directly associated with a party that wants to secede from the Union. It doesn't get any more bizarre than that.

Why the hell doesn't Biden challenge her directly on this fact. The Republican candidate, Palin, has no trouble in telling outright lies about Obama's association with Ayers while Biden stays quiet about her association with the Alaska Independence Party whose founder stated he hated the United States, hated the flag and even encouraged armed resistance. It is about time that the candidates or at least some high level Democrats grow a pair of balls.

25. People who question the amount of money Obama has raised can....
...look at Bachman/Tinklenberg. It's a smaller version of the same thing. The hate from Bachman, helped Tinklenberg in $$$$$. The hate spewed daily from McCain/Palin helps in $$$$$ for Obama.

But thanks for outing your self as a hatemonger in such a spectacular fashion. Watching the funds pile up for Tinklenberg was one of the best things I've ever watched in my life. I wish I had taken screenshots of the numbers going up and up. That would make an awesome youtube vid along with playing her hateful screed in the background.
