Stop the fraud! Bring video-recording cellphones when you vote
Voters in 2004 across the country reported touch screen Kerry votes flipping to Bush right before their eyes. Now in West Virginia, the same thing in the early voting. Voters touch the screen for Obama, but McCain is selected.

Everyone who will be voting on a touch screen machine should bring a video-recording cell phone with them. Sooner rather than later, we'll get live clip of such a flip.

Imagine the possibilities.

The network news would play that clip, it'll go viral on YouTube, and I think it'll put the electronic voting machine fraud issue on the front page of every newspaper.

Bev Harris of Black Box Voting thinks this is a great idea.

She did tell me that some in some jurisdictions, taping is illegal in the polling area.

So I guess you may have to do it on the sly.

A detail: it might be a better idea to tape the first time you try to vote, since if it flips, the only way to undo it to record it, may be to call over a poll worker. And then they'll be standing right there, possibly making a recording of the re-do kind of difficult.

Spread the word!

It's very handy. (warning, music plays when you open the page, in case you've got someone sleeping near you)

2. You may have just advised people to break the law.
For example, in Maryland, its illegal to use a camera cell phone or similar equipment in a polling place.

Its nice of you to recommend that people do it "on the sly." You going to pay their fines if their caught?

We need to be vigilant, but getting people arrested isn't smart.

4. In my state there
are no such laws, so I can do as I please. What happens when you go to vote. Do they confiscate your cell phone?

6. I think that is a damn good idea, where legal anyway. Man, if you could get a documented case of
that, I believe the electronic voting machines would be put out of business and the Republican Corp. Debold would have to go back to making ATM machines.

We could then take back our country with more honest voting. If only we could get some documentation.
