I've decided that I like Christopher Buckley.

Says he's still backing Barack.

But I've always thought he was a great writer. Of course, sometimes behind great writers lurk thick-headed dolts. Witness Dan Simmons and Orson Scott Card.

Edited to add: Buckley has a sense of humor, though, and that's impossible to fake. I've always found genuinely funny people to be pretty open-minded.

I love his writing. I read "Thank you For Smoking" years ago and was crestfallen to find out he was a repub. I'm glad he's come over to his real party!
