1. Nothing I can discuss here, because Agent Mike and his friends are lurking.
But I'll start in which ever state is responsible for the theft.

4. You really have to wonder, don't you?
I thought the days of people taking to the streets like after MLK assassination, storming the Bastille, march on Washington were past, that people were too complacent now. $800,000 sent to El Tinklenberg over the weekend suggests that people actually are paying attention. If a crowd starts to gather somewhere, others join in...

that was a big crowd in St. Louis the other day, wasn't it?

7. You'd need a half million heavily armed, heavily supplied, TRAINED
citizens.

Oh, yeah, they'd have to agree on how to restore the Constitution and be willing to die to do the same.

NEVAH HAPPEN, G.I. NEVAH HAPPEN.

9. I don't think like that
Besides with the way things went in 2006, I feel pretty well assured....plus I'd never doubt Obama's team.

10. It isn't.
McCain wouldn't be running around freaking out if it was. He isn't that good of an actor.

12. there's a crazy thing called democracy
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 10:53 PM by Poseidan
You see... elections are not everything. The people can enact changes without using violence. People have been deceived, by Republicans, into thinking all you can do is vote every few years and hope all goes well. That is how a Republic works. Here, in the United States, you can mobilize, you can organize, you can impeach, you can sue, you can give speeches (free speech/free assembly), you can get on TV/radio/internetz, and you can do it all within legal means.

In a real democracy, as the United States surely is, the people do rule. The problem is, they are unorganized and don't know how to use their power. Which is opposite of government, an entity organized to the extreme knowing exactly how to use power.

Democracy is not majority-rule, it is people-rule.

13. IF they steal this election, which is possible (IMO), then . .
Realistically, we'll probably do just what we did after the 2000 selection . . . after Gitmo . . . after invading Iraq . . . etc, etc, etc.

We'll rant on discussion boards and "play the election game" like it's reality, just to make ourselves feel like we're doing something when, in truth, it seems there's nothing to be done.
