The best toon of the week
This is how I feel. I'll never forgive him for the UN stunt. I thought he was a better man than that. The endorsement is nice and I appreciate it, but the public change of perspective comes about five years too late.

Powell could've stopped the war; he could've called bullshit on the bullshitters. Few of us in life are ever in a position to, by ourselves alone, stop the march of evil in the world. Powell was there. Powell failed. The endorsement doesn't make up for it. Nothing will make up for it. The dead will still be dead.

But I do appreciate the endorsement.

2. He used to be honorable. And his endorsement helps, so it's good enough.
But I'm not impressed myself, either. Still, you can't really say it doesn't mean shit. It helps bury McCain.

3. It's funny. Sunday the pundits said the Powell endorsement would be big news for days.
It hardly lasted thru Monday.

4. A lot of it is timing. He has a knack for getting good ideas after they longer matter
