It’s About Jobs ad sponsored by AFSCME placed in today’s USA Today

The ad highlights AFL-CIO President and AFSCME International Vice President Joe Rugola’s walk and the need for new leadership in the White House to fix the economy and rebuild the middle class. Joe is calling attention to the devastating effects of the Bush/McCain economy with his “Road to Economic Recovery” walk to visit shut down factories and impacted workers and their families. In the last eight years, 1,098 Ohio factories and businesses have shut down or had mass layoffs. More than 240,000 jobs have been lost. Joe began his walk on October 2 and is beginning the second leg on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
