I can't believe Robin Hayes used the phrase "get 'er done"

We all know that his comments were offensive and then he then he proceeded to lie about making those comments. But what seems to be overlooked is that he referred to Palin as someone who can "get 'er done" which is a reference to Larry the Cable Guy, an unfunny stereotype for the rural and small town Americans that Hayes is trying to convince that they should vote for McCain and Palin.

I've got to hand it to Bush and Rove. They at least knew how to create the image that Bush is an "average guy" while Kerry was an elitist. Meanwhile McCain's campaign fails miserably at this by using stereotypes like "Joe Sixpack" and "Larry the Cable Guy" to relate to small town and rural Americans.

Of course the media isn't covering this, but I don't think it will matter. Obama is going to win big and that's going to include many of these small town and rural Americans that McCain and Palin think they can win by trying to divide America into "real America" and "fake America".
