Oh Jon Stewart, could you get right on this?

http://blogs.tnr.com/tnr/blogs/the_stump/archive/2008/10/21/mccain-vs-palin-patriotism-edition.aspx

McCain vs. Palin, Patriotism Edition

A trusted source in Pennsylvania sends this passage from McCain's rally this evening in Moon Township (emphasis added):

I couldn't agree with you more than the fact that western Pennsylvania is the most patriotic, most God-loving, most patriotic part of America. This is a great party of the country. My friends, I could not agree-- I could not disagree with those critics more; this is a great part of America. This is the heartland of America. This is where people love their country and they serve it.

But wait! In a CNN interview just hours earlier, Sarah Palin had said this about her recent implication that some parts of the country are more pro-American than others:

I certainly don't want that interpreted as one area being more patriotic or more American than another. If that's the way it has come across, I apologize.

What, do you really expect two mavericks to agree on everything? (Wink!)

2. hey crowley...get your ass a map...
the..THE...heartland of america (well, before they added hawaii and alaska) is in fucking Kansas...Smith Center, to be somewhat arbitrary...

and if you can find a more down-to-earth regular american than some farmer in kansas, then i would suggest looking at the complete map...

and realizing we're ALL goddam 'good americans' where the hell ever we live...

while you are at it, ask some of the reservation-bound NATIVE AMERICANS what 'America' means to them...

wrap your asses in that flag all you want...people know the difference...

'my country' assholes...

6. It only means one thing: both Palin and McCain are liars and hypocrites.

Furthermore, I think their behavior during this election demonstrates that they can't even grasp what an American means in this day and age.

7. Anything to win. Their campaign is targeting Pennsylvania as a must-win ...
... now that so many Red states are swinging Purple and even Blue. You can expect the next two weeks to be uglier than the previous, as it appears McCain has no ethical limits.
