Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 07:26 PM by Motown_Johnny

Assuming these numbers hold through the election of course......

Excuse my ignorance, but I thought we were in a position where winning Colorado would be enough to put us over the top.

Did I miss something or is this starting to look like it really is over?

EDIT to add, he says McCain must now "flip" a blue state to win

In other words: he lost!

while holding onto FL, OH, NC MO and NV. That's what they're trying to do.

7. I think he's hoping to get PA.....
I heard today he is putting in a lot of effort there......but that may already be a lost cause.

And he only wants PA because they have several electoral votes.....but it's still a questionable outcome even if he does get PA...

19. AS I understand it, PA has NO paper trail for its electronic voting machines.
I am seriously worried about this. Shouldn't Obama be sending in 5,00 lawyers to PA to observe and report on this discrepancy?

Otherwise, why is McCain in PA? Gotta be a reason, right?

9. CO (plus NM and IA) + Kerry states = win
We would just need to hold the others. McCain apparently is making a run at Pennsylvania, but New Hampshire swinging to McCain would also be enough to offset Colorado. That's if Obama loses Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, West Virginia, Georgia and Missouri as well.

Right now, he's double digits ahead in every one of the blue battleground states, so giving up on Colorado makes very little sense.

35. verifiedvoting.org has them down as DRE with no paper trail
as of January 27th. Did they add printers recently?

http://www.verifiedvoting.org/verifier/map.php?topic_string=5std&state=Pennsylvania&county=Philadelphia&ec=mixed&year=2008

they have almost the whole state in red (red on that map means paperless DRE, though that often leads to red shifts on Election Day).

Unfortunately there's no point because the odds of it are so good that the payoffs on Intrade are marginal.

17. McCain is Planning to Steal PA (Which Has PAPERLESS DRE Voting Machinez!!)
McAin't may be down 13 points in PA, but it's still stealable because it's paperless.

13 points is NOT a safe lead for a Democrat in a paperless election,
ask former Governor Roy Barnes or former Senator Max Cleland.

If they can steal PA, they don't need CO.

easy steal if they can keep the turnout down. The Republicans are pros at stealing elections.

39. Roy Barnes and Max Cleland Had Solid Leads Going into the 2002 Elections
They "lost". The exit polls went missing. "Computer problems".

It stank to high heaven, but with no paper ballots to count, there was nothing we could do about it.

34. How was the turnout when Santorum was booted from office in 2006?
No one seems to remember 2006. We also removed Curt Weldon, one of 4 repukes kicked out of Congress from this state, the most of any state... And if I remember correctly, there were at least 2 other repukes who barely won with a recount and I'm hoping we can finish them off.
