12. Took about an hour
Long lines, happy people, though...
The City of Miami could use a lesson in handling large crowds.

9. Well, the Miami Indians had a big presence in Ohio.
I was born in Oxford, OH, home to Miami University. I've canoed down the Little Miami and the Great Miami Rivers. I lived in the Miami Valley, in the town of Miamisburg. So yeah, I guess there is a lot of Miami in Ohio. LOL

5. Not too close
He was as big as my thumbnail held at arm's length. so I'd guess 150-200 yards.
Security was tight, it took as long to enter as all the speeches combined. But the high rises surrounding the bay must have given security pause.

10. Can't wait to see them!
What did you think about the ultra small entrances and exits to the park?

17. I thought that was one of the worst examples of poor crowd control I've ever seen
It wasn't the narrow entrances - that's a necessity of security. But the way they had us all line up into separate lines about 30 feet from the metal detectors was completely pointless when they failed to KEEP us in those lines between there and the entrance. So the orderly lines disintegrated into a pushing, shoving mob that bottled up at the entrance to the security screening. It was ridiculous.

Come on. You've got thousands of people trying to cross Biscayne Boulevard. Shut it down for a few minutes and open some gates. I felt like cattle.

14. The weather was beautiful
it ended just before sunset. Probably 80 degrees, dry.
No cuban food, plenty of hot dogs, shish kebabs (undercoooked I'm told) and frozen lemonade.

16. BEST part of his speech
Talking about Joe the "plumber". He says "Put your hands up", the entire crowd does and he laughs, "No put them down. Put your hands up...if you make less than $250,000 a year."
The entire crowd puts their hands back up. It was quite a statement.
