Lou is on w/ 3 guests, I don't know who they were.
The one guy says (talking about Obama)
'He's not the devil that some are painting him out to be"
and LOU says
"Maybe he is the devil. We're not going to rule that out yet".



WHAT. THE. FUCK ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?


I rewound my DVR twice so that I could get that quote exactly.

I am livid, beyond disgusted.
He shouldn't be allowed on CNN without a warning to rational people to steer clear of his hateful views.

dramatic drop in viewership, maybe his program will get bumped or moved. I know changing stations registers SOMEWHERE! We used to be able to pull up the stats on DirecTV to see which news programs, movies, etc. were being watched by the most people - live time stats that changed every few seconds. So, I KNOW that chaning the station FROM Lou Dobbs is registering SOMEwhere.

I get so MUCH pleasure from changing the station, that it has almost become a ceremony in our house: My husband picks up the remote and says, "Here." I ceremoniously point it towards the tube and say, "THere, you fat lying sack of shit. Rot in hell." (or some such sentiment.) Hubby dies laughing because I am so PISSED but simultaneously DELIGHTED to be turning that rat bastard off!

Years ago, when he was doing the "outsourcing America" series, I watched him religiously for personal reasons as I was in the midst of "training my replacement", and, I thought it was great that there was someone out there who was speaking out for those of us who were losing our jobs as a result of corporate greed.

But, when I tuned in and watched him immediately following the 2004 election, and, I heard him proudly expound on "Bush's mandate" ad nauseum, I was livid. I wrote to him outlining my objections, and, I received a pretty nasty response from someone on his "team" to the effect that Lou "can't always please his viewers".

I haven't watched him since.

Since he represents himself as an independent, he is, in my opinion, worse than Hannity and O'Reilly. At least they do not hide who they are.

I have an 8 y/o who has heard the racial slurs on tv and I have had to explain more than I ever was prepared to have to. and she's actually gone over to the dark side. There were other factors (her financial situation got very bad) but Dobbs made her think that immigrants are the whole reason she's strugging financially and now she's very angry and bitter. I've talked her into not voting this time around instead of voting for McCain.
