Since I've already voted, I'm taking the day off of work. I may even skip skating practice. I just want to hide and avoid DU and all Election News that day. :hide:

I'm too nervous to know what else to do with myself.

1. It's a State holiday, and I'm a state employee.
I'll be making phone calls. (For a congressional candidate in former state)

3. My vacation time (no trip) starts Oct. 27th and ends Nov. 5.
I plan to hide out the whole week, nervous as a cat with my cat and my equally nervous husband and drink like a fish.

(I will be making calls all day like I did in 2006.)

I am preserving my 1000th post to celebrate...

Early voting does take a load off.

4. Working 14 hours
As an alternate election judge. Maybe the Dems will beat Rick Perry next time and I will get a precinct as a presiding judge for Obama's next election.

Then we will all meet up, eat, and watch the returns. I hope we go to that good Greek place.

5. I took the week off.
I'll help on election day, and before that, and if we win (which we should), then I will celebrate. If it is stolen, I'll be jumping in the car to DC to protest. Things are looking a little scary at my job. We got 'the notice' that jobs will be starting to get cut. Mostly the temps, which I'm very fond of, and perhaps middle management, which I'm also very fond of. :( Anyway, I would trade my job for an Obama win any day.

7. I'll be fixing kitties, or at least troubleshooting them, all day as usual.
The night before I will bake a sweet potato pie.

After work I will take my pie and my bottle of bubbly and head over to my friends' house (they lived in the guest house next to me for 8 years until last fall when, in the Saga of the House, we had to leave to make way for two Persian Palaces, and they moved across the street, lol). They will probably order some pizza or whatever. We will eat, drink, and make merry. The last two presidential elections haven't worked out too well in the fun department. This one will be different.

8. Working until around 5 or 6, then coming home and
watching the returns verify that our next President will be Barack Obama.

9. I make it a practice to treat it like any other day
I try not to think much about the outcome during the day. Then starting around 6 pm CDT, I'm glued to the TV with my laptop on my lap for the duration.

10. I have class that day.
And I'll probably go in to work. The wife wouldn't be able to stand me, I may listen music until 5, I don't know.
