2. Typical bashing of ignorant northerners who don't have a clue about VA
I have lived in the north. I am living in VA. Believe it or not, I haven't seen a still yet. And I see more Obama signs than Confederate Flags.

Get a friggen grip! I know you learned something back in eigth grade about the south seceeding from the Union. And maybe you even followed through Jim Crow, and through the civil rights movement.

But, having lived in Minnesota (lily white bastion of repressed racism) and in VA, I don't see that the North has anything to condemn VA about.

After all, we are not a nation of blue states and red states....we are the united states....that is what Obama has said. Don't you believe in Obama? Why do you look down on some states?

and a shit-load of fuckin' confederate flags, so chastise me if you wish, but I've seen what I've seen.Me thinks your skin is a little thin, and remember y'all lost the war.( and for the record, my first response was rather tongue-in cheek, however, your ham-handed reply needed a bit of a slap-down.)

Sherman Rules.

6. I'm FROM southwestern Virginia and I'm sick to death of this broad-brush
bullshit. Not everyone from any region is the same, goddamn it.
This south-bashing, hillybilly bull needs to stop. It's the "latte liberal" version of real vs. fake America.
I'm sorry if we're not democratic ENOUGH for you.

fed up.
can you tell?

7. Never said, nor implied as much.
Visit Salem on a friday night during football season, and count the Confederate flags. Do that, then tell me my perception is skewed. Glad your "blue" , glad your there, wish you and y'all's only the best.

8. About as fed up as I am with pundits
Putting Virginia's "turn-to-blue" solely at the feet of Northern Virginia and ignoring the rest of the state. As if Northern Virginia is the only urbanized area. As if Northern Virginia is the only part of Virginia experiencing growth.

I welcome anyone who believes that to come take a rush hour trip on the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel during a week day. Bring a grill. You'll have time to cook dinner while enjoying the spectacular view of Willoughby Spit, the James River and, in the distance, the Atlantic Ocean in stand still traffic.
