Question about Obama rallies
I was watching the video from the St. Louis event and it occured to me, do people showing up to Obama rallies have to stand on line and show tickets to get in like at the McCain and Palin rallies? Anyone know?

2. All they do is ask that you RSVP
So they can get a loose tally.

3. At our little rally (when compared to St.Louis) - Obama peeps gave us tickets
and asked us to fill out one side (for database purposes probably) and we kept the stub, then screened airport-style then let loose to find seats.

We were inside though not in open air.

...grumbles...wish he'd done the rally in the parking lot because everyone couldn't fit in the Crown hehe ;)

4. They are ticketed
Ticket distribution is generally through the local field office.

6. In St. Louis....
We showed up at 5:30am for gates that were to open at 10:15am and we were 20th in line. No tickets were necessary, however some people did have tickets for a special section (turned out to be no better than where we ended up). When security opened it was a mad dash to get as close as you could.

7. Some are ticketed, some are not
sometimes they just want you to RSVP to get a rough head count.

8. It depends on the venue
Some events will be ticketed if they are in a closed stadium or other venue with limited space. If it's an open air thing then it's kind of impossible to require tickets.
