Need Help with repuke rumor, Obama violated Ill ethics law?

Saw this on another forum site, they are saying that Obama violated the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act...?

Now...I have been trying to find something, anything that will show this as being nothing more then spin, because given the desperation by the right these days, they are trying anything to nail Obama with something...as usual all I get is the usual right wing blabbosphere. I would think that if this ethics law was actually violated that this would have come out a loooong time ago...

Can someone shed some light on this or point me to a site that shows he didn't violate any such laws...something just doesn't sound right...smells like GOP bullshit to me...

2000: On his 2000 Schedule C-EZ, Barack reported that he received $16,500 as a �Foundation director/Educational speaker.�

Income as "foundation director" .................duh.

2002: On his 2002 Schedule C, Barack reported $34,491 for �LEGAL SERVCES / SPEAKING FEES.�

Income as "legal services" .................duh.

He received income in relation to LEGAL WORK, which if more than legal briefs are involved, would include speaking out loud.

I would suggest alerting Fight The Smears so they can add it to their laundry list of reich wing lies.
