Eminem Is Backing Barack Obama
Eminem is backing Barack Obama in the US presidential election next month, on November 8th.

"I'll vote for Barack," the rapper - real name Marshall Mathers - says. "I can't get too political because I don't know enough."

"I mean, I know we are going into a recession. Pardon the cliché but we need something to change."

"I think Barack would be a breath of fresh air," continues Mathers, "to get in there and actually get what's left of the Bush administration out the door."

Eminem has also been speaking about his new Relapse album, which fans can expect to be released soon.

If Obama can bring rappers to agreement on something, he can bring the country together.

7. I remember the wave of excitement that Eminem created here in 2004
with how he was going to get all the young voters out there in droves to vote for Kerry....and Eminem's crusade all fizzled on election day.

13. Eminem didn't launch a crusade. He wrote a song.
And it's a really good song. As are most of his.

That's all it was. And if we made more of it, and didn't deliver on the promise we read into it, that isn't Eminem's fault.

11. That's actually one of the most honest-sounding endorsements I've ever seen
Not fancy, pretentious, or ego-driven. Just plain-spoken. Very cool :smoke:

14. Eminem was one of the first artist to attack the Bush Administration.

He wrote and sang blistering lyrics maligning Bush long before any other pop stars did so.
