Fools replace Obama sign with...
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 08:12 AM by grimble_grumble
...stars and bars. Racism is alive and well in Central VA. And if the flag represents "heritage not hate" as so many of them say, why would they use it to replace the Obama sign???

1. Man..
they're trying to give Virginia to us, aren't they?

First the "communist country" comment. Then "real Virginia." And now this?

Keep it up, friends in Virginia.. :)

2. FYI: change it to "Republicans" or "Unreconstructed Rebels"
The use of the term "rednecks" will likely get your thread locked, otherwise.

11. well, it doesn't matter to me, but it matters to some
I didn't want to see your thread get locked because of one word.

I believe the word "redneck" necessarily means a person with a racist component as well as an anti intellectual component, and is therefore descriptive, not stereotyping. Not all rural people are rednecks and not all rednecks are rural people, but all rednecks are racist, IMHO, and being from a state where there are such people who proudly call themselves "redneck," my view is not the same as some others.

13. That's exactly how I think of the term...
...which is why I forget that it can be offensive to some others.

4. Cut the flag into 4x4" squares to be used for t.p. Let them know
what their effort has wrought.

5. Are those some of the "real Americans" I keep hearing about from
the GOP from "real Virginia"? Kudos to the vast majority of Virginians who find this deplorable!

6. All I say is buy spares and have some for neighbors to keep the message alive.>
I liked the idea of attaching them to a rape alarm. I think praying for these people is a good idea myself too.

8. I think black people should start wearing the confederate flags to freak them out.>
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 08:44 AM by barack the house
Let's take the heat out of the flag. In the same way african americans used the n word to take the sting out of the word. Or confederate flag with an Obama sign in the middle and change acress it.

And I won't go any further than that out of respect for his desire not to fight.

scared at how undeveloped they are. They got a lot of growing to do, to find their humanity for a start. People should just shout at them is that the way to bring tourism and jobs back to America. Shout the world is watching them watching them close and thinking. Do not fear these people they are not worthy of our fear.

9. Plaster huge "Republicans for Obama" signs around the area
I've already put up two small ones in my area just for fun. One of them is still standing after two weeks.

12. The rebel flag represents anti-american sentiment, not heritage.
You can be proud of the south, or the north, or the east, west, or mid-west. You don't need to fly the flag of the group who wanted to seperate from the U.S. to be proud of where you're from. Where is the mid-west's flag for me to fly in my front yard?? I guess I'll just have to cope with flying the AMERICAN flag instead!!

14. Sometimes people will have
a rebel flag on one side of their front porch and an American flag on the other side. I've been tempted to go knock on their door and ask which one they support. Never have gotten around to doing that, because I don't really want to get shot.
