Question: Is this the first year for 10 day early voting in a lot of states?
It seems like early voting would've made such a huge difference in Ohio in 04, I believe Kerry missed the state by ~85k votes.
Also Ohio had 50% more blacks voted for Bush than Kerry (which I don't believe for a second) It seems like an early voting ground game would've made sure that number couldn't have been stolen.
I don't have a historical perspective but from this election it seems like the GOP has a history of running away voters SOMEHOW, with early voting and online donations this year seems like a game changer IMHO.
State Senator Randy Laverty (Democrat, of course)put through the legislation before the 2004 election. It's been a boon for hard working Arkansans. I'm sure his great work in the legislature and his concern for his constituents is one reason he is running unopposed in a very red part of the state.
