Joe-Scar knows not his history. Biden spoke the truth.
He is attacking Joe Biden for speaking truth to the masses.

EVERY new president has suffered from some manufactured crisis during the first six months of a new administration. Every single one.

And Scar is using this to rip into Biden? Because he predicts that Obama will be tested in that timeframe? And that he will survive and thrive?

Bullshit, Joe. Read your history. Read about George W's first term. Read about Clinton's, georgie's daddy, Reagan, Carter, Ford and Nixon. THEY ALL WERE TESTED.

11. a complex situation, a complex event.
Had the CIA not created its own mess with its Bay of Pigs fiasco, I doubt that Castro would have joined the Soviet theater of influence as quickly or as strongly, or even at all. It was only after, what was it called, Mongoose?, where the CIA picked up where it left off with Pigs, trying to assassinate Castro, that the missiles began to be shipped and assembled.

If only Fidel had a better curve ball, none of that would have happened. He would have made the team, become a second string beisbol player, and Cuba would have been the center of all capitalistic crime conceivable to America's pure capitalists, even more so than Wall Street's recent orgy of derivative based bonuses.

Sigh.

2. Biden fucked up...
This was not the time to make those kind of statements. Horrible timing. He just gave these assholes exactly what they wanted: change the subject from economics to foreign policy.

9. Honestly, I hope to hell McCrypt spends the next two weeks fear-mongering about national security.
Did you happen to see the AP poll out yesterday? Only 15% think we're on the "right track". The fucked-up economy is the big daddy in the room. A candidate who avoids economic recovery as the centerpiece of his campaign's closing argument, does so at his own peril.

10. This is why Joe Biden should be happy Obama picked him for VP.
Its a lot easier to overlook flubs in the VP than in the President.

I'm just glad that Obama is a lot more careful.

27. Horse shit. It wasn't a fuck up, it wasn't a gaffe and there was nothing wrong with the statement.
Stop allowing the MSM dictate what is or isn't the right or wrong thing to say. It was a completely accurate statement. Only in Republican bizarro world is saying something so freaking normal considered a "fuck up".

8. Biden's remarks were STUPID, politically tone-deaf...
politicians have to know by now (after the Mayhill Folwer debacle) that even private fundraisers are not private and their remarks can end up on YouTube in a heartbeat.

Biden seems to guarantee that Brack will be uniquely tested because of who he is, like "Vote Barack and get an Inernational Crisis for free!". WHich invites our opponents to say, "No one will test an old, experienced geezer like our guy". I love Biden, but sometimes he goes off and stuffs his whole foot in his mouth.

16. He stated...
that there would be a manufactured crisis, as in people overseas WANT Obama in office so that they can carry out some kind of diabolical plan. It plays right into this bullshit that the Republicans have been pushing that "Al Qaeda wants Obama to win." Remember the Republican asshole from Iowa who said that? McCain himself has made similar statements. Biden just boosted their ridiculous argument.

17. E V E R Y president has been tested in the first term, first year.
It comes with the territory.

It could be anything from the Chinese dumping bonds, to Russia starting its own anti-anti-missile defense or space based weaponry. It could be Indonesia pushing out the US ambassador, or Belgium increasing the price of its waffles. But, I assure you, there will be such an event, and there will be such a test, and Biden will be proved to be prescient and correct.

but Joe specifically linked Barack's youth and some kind of manufactured crisis. It's a ridiculous statement. He fucked up. The media is going to continue pushing it and McCain's campaign is harping on it constantly.

23. that's not the issue.
Biden spoke with certitude about an internatinal crisis, provided a TIMELINE (6 months) and linked it to the election of a particular person (our guy).

Not smart, totally self-inflicted... imagine if Palin had said that. We'd be ringing the "fearm-ongering" bell.

Better not to debate this amongst ourselves, just let it pass. It will pass, probably gone in 2 days.

Of course, we are already in a series of crises and a President Obama will inevitably be faced with new crises, that's a given. What Biden said, with certidtude that there would be one in the next 6 months, and he personalized it- that the crisis would come because of WHO Obama is, like a JFK.

You don't find a VP candidate's linkage of a pending disaster to his running mate's election stupid, silly and self-defeating? Try to be objective for a moment. Had our opponents said something like that, we would be all over it, calling it "fear-mongering", or attacking it every which way.

Unless Biden is an Oracle, or has some supernatural power to see the future, he should not be in the business of pronouncing disaster is on the way if you elect our guy.

YOu don't have to sell me on how catastrophic the last 8 years have been, BTW. I am simply responding to remarks that will pass in a day or 2, not a fatal cut, just a minor distraction.

28. I can't believe you are gullible enough to see any merit in the spin.
Its not a politically tone deaf statement. Its a normal statement that shouldn't even be able to be taken out of context. There is ZERO merit in the statement meaning anything negative or bad. ZERO. Stop buying the hype.

29. OMFG....we are doomed! This will end it all for us!!!
Seriously, what is the big deal? I just don't get it. Biden said Obama will be tested because of who he is but that he will overcome it. All the wackos will test the unknown quality as we have had Rethug rule for 8 years but it speaks to Obama's character that Biden thinks Obama would handle it well. Actually a group like Al Quaeda would prefer McLame as Bush was a boon for them. Stop letting the MSM tell you what to think. The media would give Palin a free pass over something like this as you can't even find her to ask her questions. Pat Buchanan and Joe S. are desperate as McLame is a sinking ship.

Don't f*ck with the US. And he's telling the American people - Obama is ready for anything.

Coming the day after GENERAL Powell - a coincidence?

Biden just got to work a bit too early, perhaps
