So, now they picked up Joe Biden's remarks over the weekend..
I guess to push Colin Powell's remarks off the sound board. I'm not sure what the context of the conversation was over the weekend. I'm not sure who he was speaking to.. but they sure picked up the sound bites that they thought sounded bad, and they are going to run with them ALL week long. McCain and ALL the surrogates are going to use this as talking points for the next week.. especially when Obama is off visiting his grandma and isn't around to push back..

1. I haven't put the TV on yet.. Is this his remark about
somebody being "tested" during their first few months in office?

3. Yes.. it must have been picked off the fax machine by Mika..
Perhaps she looked at this board and got pissed at someone calling her a drunk again.. Today she looks like she didn't stop drinking and stumbled in after an all nighter.

8. They're trying their best to rescue McCain's political career from the grave
Too bad they don't understand that just because they're sitting nice and pretty with their bank accounts, most Americans still say that the economy is the #1 issue.

Who wouldn't be tested, especially with the economy the way it is?

6. I don't get it...
Why is what he said bad? Isn't that precisely what people are worried (the new president being tested) and precisely WHY they are flocking to Obama?

What is the big deal about this one?

10. No big deal; it's called 'molehill' politics. That's all they're good at,
making mountains out of molehills. As someone else suggested, it's just another distraction from endorsements, poll numbers, racists, etc.

cities are the targets for terrorism.

9. You know what good, if they try to use this time, the time Obama will be visiting
his sick 86 year old Grandmother, the last person from his family that was there everyday while he was growing up. I understand that connection my grandmother lived with us.

If McLimp is really going to use this time to try and Attack harder, because Obama can not personally speak.

Well let's face it, that's a painful political death in McLames very recent future.

The people he is trying to get to VOTE for him, do not like Negative campaigning

So if he negative campaigns on top of Barack's visiting his Sick Grandmother

I predict John McLame is done for
and good riddance to bad rubbish

14. It's hard to understand how the Biden remark is anything more than a
"well . . . duh." All presidents are challenged by something early on. Trying to make something out of a remark as innocent as this is pathetic and almost sad. McCain should concede and go home to Arizona . . . or California . . . or D.C. . . . or wherever else he has a McMansion.

15. OK, but Biden's remarks were STUPID
politicians have to know by now (after the Mayhill Folwer debacle) that even private fundraisers are not private and their remarks can end up on YouTube in a heartbeat.

Biden seems to guarantee that Brack will be uniquely tested because of who he is, like "Vote Barack and get an Inernational Crisis for free!". WHich invites our opponents to say, "No one will test an old, experienced geezer like our guy". I love Biden, but sometimes he goes off and stuffs his whole foot in his mouth.

17. that is not what i said.
Unless Biden has a crystal ball or connectin to a higher power, his certitutude about Obama being tested is just silly. And putting it in terms of being tested because of WHO he is begs the question from our opponents to say something like "our guy, the old and experienced one, will not invite crisis because of WHO he is".

It's not a fatal cut by any means, but entirely self-inflicted and unhelpful. Shit happens, it'll blow away.

18. Biden only stated the obvious
Madeline Albright agreed with Biden too. You're the one inferring things from Biden's statement, like nobody would ever test a McCain presidency. Please step aside while the rest of us pick up your slack and win this election.

24. yes, the obvious with a TIMELINE (6 months).
Spin it however you want, and it is not worth debating. I am entitled to my view-- the fact that you accuse me of "slack" for expresing my frank opinion of a gratuitous statement says more about you (next you will say my views are not "pro-America" or that I ought to be investigated). Sound familiar?

For your frigging information, I canvas and do wahtever I'm asked at my local Obama camapign HQ. So as for letting "the rest of us pick up your slack" you can take that comment and stick it somewhere dark and warm.
