I live in Miami, so what do ya think?

One of five computers really did work,
And the lone "expert" there wore a big smirk.

8. You don't need a 'special pen'....a #2 pencil is fine.
Black pen is fine. Any black pen. Take a sharpie with you next time.

11. Not what they said. It required "special pens" supplied by the Optical scan company.
Edited on Mon Oct-20-08 10:45 PM by Billy Burnett
Wasn't going to argue. No one could vote. ALL of the "special" pens originally placed there had no ink. It was a long line. I'll go back tomorrow.

18. Not according to the poll worker.
Special pens were required. No one was allowed to vote using another type of pen.

Are you getting the picture?

9. Be ticked off if you want. If you didn't have the sense to ask the people running the poll
for a different pen, or maybe something really easy like having your OWN PEN, then YOU are the one who failed.

10. I waited 90 minutes for them to get the "special" pens.
It was an optical scan system that had to have "special ink" in order to read votes "without any errors".

21. now that I think about it
.. the pens that are in the booth that I use to connect the dots are not ordinary pens either. They're like a sharpie but not thick and not thin. I've never heard of the pen protocol before though. I feel for you.

16. Contact your local Obama HQ.
Wipe that insufferable smirk off his face.

Seriously. Contact your local Obama office, and see if you can get some Election Protection people in action.

17. It was all over the local news.
All of the local TV and radio news reported on that incident.

No working "special" pens. Wow! Wadoyaknow. A 2½ hour wait to get them.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
