10. I think he said she's being released from the hospital, but she's not doing well.
Obama is going to be at her side.

8. News doesn't sound good! She has been released from the hospital.
But it sounds like she is really ill.

Poor Barack, I just came home from visiting my 84 yr old Grandmom, we are incredibly close too.

I really, really hope she can hang on for Barack!

All my best to the entire family.

And in respecting the family's privacy, won't give any further details.

Doesn't sound good :(

17. The really sad thing
is that she outlived her daughter (it's Obama's grandma on his mother's side of the family, right?)

18. Positive thoughts for Barack and his grandma
There is no way he'd cancel events unless he thought he may never see her again. I so hope his grandma can hang on long enough to see him elected president.

He is simply a good man to do this, esp. at such a critical time for his campaign. A man with his values in the right place, and a heart as big as Kansas.

I am going to send another donation in honor of the good man his grandma raised. This one is for you, Grandma Obama. If you can't be here for the election in person, safe journey and be watching from the stars.

You gave us a gift for which we will be forever grateful.

24. Very Sad - His Only Remaining Parent/Grandparent - Really Sucks
It is bad enough when a grandparent passes away, but when you have already lost your parents, and this is your sole remaining link to your childhood, it can be devastating.
