BREAKING - ABC/WaPo Poll Out (10/20) - Obama Leads McCain 53-44
Edited on Mon Oct-20-08 04:55 PM by Median Democrat
This tends to undermine the Wall Street Journal's headline today that the race is tightening.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/behind-the-numbers/2008/10/wapo-abc_daily_tracking_1.html

/snip

The new survey shows Obama leading McCain by 53 percent to 44 percent among likely voters, little changed from a separate Post-ABC News poll released last Monday. Among all registered voters, Obama's lead is 10 percentage points, 52 percent to 42 percent.

18. As long as they don't vote for McCain
I don't care. That means he's got his own problems with voters independent of the 8 terrible years we've just been through.

20. It matters not that we poll 53%. What if that stays the same, but
McCain polls 54%! (trust my math. I'm from Chicago).

10. Not quite the same.
Bush was leading by a margin of about two points. Obama is leading by a margin of about five. Three points is a ton in national politics.

27. That's why I put: "Actually Obama is doing better than Bush was" at the end
:)

We are absolutely in a better position than even Bush was in '04!

14. That's good---it shows there's fewer undecideds too
Only 3% in this poll, less chance of any surprises from voters that won't make up their mind until the last days.
