Who Is This Man?
He came from ordinary people
His parents had an ordinary divorce
He was raised by ordinary grandparents
Many children know such lives

Why is he different?

His dad was black
His mom, white
His grandparents, from Kansas

He struggled to afford college
But he was bright, and persistent
Harvard Law Review
Illinois State Legislature
United States Senate

President of the United States of America

He is the man to lead us there.

His name?

Barack Obama

And he is extraordinary.

3. It's worth providing credit to the originator of the question "Who is this man?"

Sure, I'm dating myself. But it's important to provide a historical context for this question.

7. That was Major Hochstetter from Hogan's Heroes...

A classic sitcom about an American POW camp's espionage efforts during WWII.

One recurring theme of that show was the American Colonel Hogan sitting around in Colonel Klink's (the German POW camp leader) office, inserting commentary as the German leaders discussed recent events.

Each time Hogan would make a snarky observation, the Major would ask the question, "Who is zis man?" with increasing ferocity, until -- usually about the third time he said it -- he was to the point of shouting, "WHO IS ZIS MAN?!!!"

Just to help you know who this man is who asked "Who is this man?" here's the Wikipedia excerpt about him:

Major Wolfgang Hochstetter (Howard Caine) of the Gestapo. Hochstetter is an ardent Nazi who never understands why Hogan is often allowed to barge into Klink's office at will. Hochstetter frequently demands of Klink "Who is this man?" or "What is this man doing here?!" with increasing stridency. Klink is justifiably afraid of him, but Burkhalter is not easily intimidated. In "War Takes a Holiday," Hogan tricks Hochstetter into lending his car to several underground leaders (presented by Hogan as potential captains of industry), who use it to escape just as Hochstetter's superiors arrive. Howard Caine played several other German officers in the show before becoming Major Hochstetter. Throughout the series, the rank insignia on Hochstetter's collar is that of a Standartenführer which translates to Oberst (Colonel) in the Wehrmacht.
