I thought about voting early with my son today instead of using my mail-in ballot.
I'm in Colorado. I checked my county website to find out if I could vote at the polls instead of mailing in my ballot.

I learned that I could, but I would have to take my mail-in ballot to the polls and relinquish it and then I could ONLY vote on a provisional ballot.

Needless to say, I'll use my mail-in ballot but I will take it to one of the drop-off points instead of mailing it.

Just thought other people might want to know this information. So before you go, check your county website to get the correct information. It was nice to know that I don't have to trust the mail and that I could drop the ballot off at several locations close to home.

1. Be sure and drop your ballot off.
That way you know that it got there. Peace, Kim

2. I will certainly do that. And I'm gonna park so that they can't see my
Obama sticker at the office where I"ll drop it off. I'm no tinfoil hatter, but I am careful. :)

3. I got to pull the handle for JFK when I was 5 years old.
My Dad took me with him. I somehow recall there were pictures of the candidates above the leavers, tho I could be mistaken.

5. That is SO cool. It should be a family thing. I wish you had pictures
of you with your dad. When my boys have kids, I'm gonna tell them to do that - take pictures of them with their kids at the polls. It's a right we cherish here and it should be commemorated.

4. Everyone I know is dropping theirs off, too.
The postage issue sucks. The instructions say, 'First Class Postage', so many people might assume that they need only pay the regular rate when in fact, it would be .59 cents. Luckily, I've noticed many Dems are reading and re-reading the instructions so as not to get their ballot thrown out, and I don't doubt they will put two stamps on their ballot just to be sure.

6. Wow. That is just NUTS. You'd think they could at least say how
MUCH postage is required. Sheesh.

Damned good thing that you alerted people to it. Thank you. We need every bit of information we can get.
