Time to Show the Sen. Candidates in Tight Races Some Fund-Raising Love- Who's With Me?
Edited on Mon Oct-20-08 02:31 PM by JCMach1
Just donated to Franken, Hagan, Lunsford, Musgrove, Begich, Merkley and Martin.

Not to ignore the other races, but all of these Senate races are very close with a slight lead for the Dem, or within MOE.

Here is the Act Blue directory: http://www.actblue.com/directory

Or go directly to their websites.

Let's work on that veto proof majority for Obama...

1. A very humble thank you from a Mississippian
I've been giving to Musgrove and have contributed to DSCC for some time.

2. He has a good shot, especially with Obama pulling a high turnout
This one will be VERY close and could determine the 60 seat majority...

6. The Hagan ads have been BLISTERING Dole heavily for over a month now - tv and radio.
Dole hasn't been able to get the cash she needs to compete.

We're definitely not taking anything for granted here in NC. Many of us saw 2004 get stolen and have been hounding the Dem party here for years. Dean has helped this state out a LOT in terms of infrastructure assistance.

7. Obama is running a heavy campaign there as much for the Senate seat
as for the electoral upset. It appears both are probably working.

10. Absolutely. And everywhere Obama can run up the score, the senate race will be a shoe-in.

Several polls show Chambliss race a dead heat

A number of recent polls have shown the battle for Georgia’s Senate seat to be a dead heat.

In a Survey USA poll taken over the weekend, Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss (R) leads attorney Jim Martin (D) 46-43, within the margin of error, and an InsiderAdvantage poll conducted on Thursday put the candidates in a tie at 45-45.

While polls conducted in June put the first-term senator up by as many as 29 points, his campaign said it anticipated a tight race.

“Sen. Chambliss said when the polls showed a 20-point lead, ‘Don’t believe that, this will be a tight race,’ ” spokeswoman Michelle Grasso said. “This campaign has always been run on that presumption. The only poll that really matters is the one taken on Election Day.”

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee said this week that it has sent money to help fund Martin's ads... http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/several-polls-show-chambliss-race-a-dead-heat-2008-10-14.html

11. Texas Rick Noriega NEEDS funding badly, he's polling 6% behind Cornyn
Bill Clinton came down to Dallas to campaign with Rick. Bill said Hillary was a strong supporter, yet she couldn't convince the DSCC to release any money for Rick seat.

That is the main reason I refuse to give the DSCC any money.
