LATEST polls show race WIDENING
Edited on Mon Oct-20-08 01:15 PM by jenmito
Gallup Daily: Election 2008-Obama 52% (same), McCain 41% (-1)

Gallup Daily: Likely Voters (Expanded)-Obama 52% (+1), McCain 43% (-1)

Gallup Daily: Likely Voters (Traditional)-Obama 50% (+1), McCain 45% (-1)

http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx

Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll-Obama 49.8% (+2), McCain 44.4% (-.7)

http://www.zogby.com/

And these are NATIONAL polls which are not relevant compared to state polls which ALSO show Obama's lead widening.

7. We posted this
as well. We posted this earlier today. The MSM and Sludge Report are full of carp. There was some initial tightening last week, but that appears to have stopped and actually Obama is beginning to gain again.

Interesting this will be --- is there a small Powell bounce like Mark Halperin at Time inferred.

"The CNN Poll of Polls is an average of the latest national surveys. The polls included in this newest edition are the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Survey (Oct. 17-19), a Reuters C-SPAN/Zogby poll (Oct. 17-19), a Gallup poll (Oct. 16-18) and a Diageo/Hotline survey (Oct. 17-19)."

"A Gallup poll"? Probably the "traditional model" which, from the 16th-18th, had Obama up by only 3%. In that model of TODAY'S poll, Obama's up by 5%.

22. Oh no! What can the corporate media darlings do now?
I look forward to anti-trust regulations to break up the media conglomerates. Enough already.

So sick of the consolidation into conservative media conglomerates. Look forward to a return of the "4th branch of government," a truly free press.

23. Does anybody know when/if the ABC/WaPo numbers are released?
Their Ayers numbers looked great yesterday, but the questions 1-6 were not released.
