My Official Electoral Vote Prediction: Obama 287 - McCain 251 (GOP Election Fraud)
Yes, it's going to be close. But not because it would naturally be close. It will be close because of election fraud committed in states that are controlled by the GOP.

Specifically, NV, CO, MN, MO, NC, and FL are all polling well in favor of Obama. But don't expect these states to be counted as Wins for Obama on Election night. These states will most surely go for McCain... and that is because the GOP controls the Governorships of these states, and thus the Secretary of State, who controls the elections.

If you haven't read this article by Greg Palast and RFK Jr. in the Rolling Stone, you should: http://www.gregpalast.com/rolling-stone-its-already-stolen/ If that's not enough to send chills down your spine, then read this story about early voters in WV having their votes flipped on touch-screen voting machines: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/19/more-west-virginia-voters_n_136022.html And let's not let this little news tidbit go unseen about the owner of a firm hired by the GOP being arrested for voter registration fraud: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x3552492. The plain and simple fact is that the GOP is going to steal the election in states like NV, CO, MN, MO and FL.

Here's where the election will become a nail-biter: Ohio. I believe the Obama campaign has tried to take attention away from Ohio by saying Florida is more winnable for them, all the while knowing the Election Fraud being committed by the GOP. I believe the Obama campaign has done amazing things in their ground campaign in Ohio and this state will be the keystone of an Obama victory. Fortunately the likes of Ken Blackwell have been routed from the state and while there is still concern and trouble in the Buckeye State, I believe this state will be the one that goes blue that needs to go blue. Pickups from 2004 are going to be IA, VA, OH and NM, which will be enough to win... but just barely.

1. We won 2006 by turning out more than the Fraudsters expected
We MUST do the same again. That trumps most software-dependent 'fixes'.

2. Read the article by RFK Jr... it's not just electronic fixes... they've undone the massive effort
by the Obama campaign to register new voters. They are disqualifying far more Democratic voters than the Obama team has registered.

3. Very true
...but that is just one more reason that we need to GOTV. The more that turn out and cast a ballot that gets counted, the greater our chances of beating the crooks.

4. I disagree with OH and MN
Minnesota will go blue. It went for Mondale in '84, when Ray-gun was wildly popular. It has bounced back from a dip to being solid blue. Pollster.com has Obama winning by +7.0, 538.com has Obama winning by 8.5%, and Electoral-vote.com has Obama winning by 11%. I think the Obama campaign, along with a plurality of Minnesotans, will cry foul if Minnesota turns red.

Ohio is a different story. It has been unstable for us, costing us the election in both '00 and '04 (though Florida would've worked too in both years). Plus, we are hardly up in this state. Obama has a lead of 1% (Electoral-vote.com), 1.4% (Pollster.com), or 2.3% (538.com). North Dakota and North Carolina, both scarlet red states, have bigger leads than Ohio according to Pollster.com. This is still what I would call a toss-up.

However, I agree that Iowa, Virginia, and New Mexico are in the bag. And with Minnesota, that is all we need.
