If that is the case it probably is good because of the labor day holiday they might not get viewers. If it is next week there should be more viewers

2. It is good.
Here in Orlando every major network excluding cable is pre-empted by storm coverage. Which I really haven't minded to be quite honest.

8. Not likely
CBS News is an autonomous department, which means it's exempt from the direct corporate pressure all the other news shows feel. It was set up that way back in the good old days when we did have a balanced media, to keep it that way.

Corporate pressure may cause them to offer a bit more right wing "balance" than they otherwise might, but it won't kill a story.

The entertainment wing of CBS is directly affected by corporate pressure, as it wasn't granted autonomy. That's why the silly Reagan movie was cancelled.

7. Yes, for Wednesday.
There is enough real stuff to get riled about.

We will see it. Sit tight.

5. But will they reschedule it?
Several weeks ago 60 Minutes was supposed to have Sibel Edmonds on. I forget what big news event pushed it off the agenda, but whatever it was, the earlier advertised Sibel interview has seemingly disappeared into the void.

I hope this doesn't happen to the Barnes story as well, but it's very disappointing to see yet another potential bombshell report get shunted aside.

9. It was never scheduled for tonight - CBS not going to waste this
on a Labor Day weekend.

I believe it will either be on Wednesday or next Sunday.

The Salon.com and other articles always stated it was not this Sunday!

10. People kept getting so excited about tonight...
and I wondered why. I read the original report and new it wasn't airing until the next show.

16. Thanks! I couldn't for the life of me remember what the heck happened!
I guess Reagan's passing was definitely NOT a personally memorable event.

But I missed the rescheduled airing of the Sibel Edmonds interview?!? Dang it! I hardly EVER miss 60 Minutes! Can't believe it passed by without me seeing it. :-(

17. The show that you are talking about
was a re-run. It was already shown earlier in the year. I doubt they would re-schedule.

You can find it, I believe on the CBS site. THere may be a transcript.
