Now that Powell has crossed party lines, will Hagel endorse next?
I always expected these two to come out by Nov.

2. I would hope that Hagel does the right thing. But like Powell I'm never excepting rethugs to do the
right thing. Powell surprised me. I'd like to see Hagel do the same...

3. I don't want him to just endorse...
I want him to do the same thing Powell did: condemn the character assassination and bigotry that is being used in McCain's campaign right now.

4. He has said he probably won't endorse anyone, but I think he still might...
Especially if McCain continues to drive the Low Road Express into the gutter.

10. I think it depends on the tone of the McCain campaign.. Today he was still
using his socialist schtick along with Joe the not so Plumber.. so, I might be another MTP of Republicans saying, "what happened to my party?"

You know the Republican party used to be the party that cared about liberties and freedoms... Traditionally, they were for state rights back when state issues took a precident. Personally, I think America needs a re-organization of power levels because it is such a large country.. I think we will see a more regionalization of states as resources become harder and harder.. I know FLorida is scared shitless of a Katrina right now.. The state would be completely bankrupt... Crist has been begging Republicans to make some kind of National Catestrophic fund.. he knows we've just been really freaking lucky the last few years.. The problem here is that all the insurance companies have pulled out, most are paying into the Citizen's Fund (which if its going to be an insurance agency, ought to compete for auto insurance and ought to compete in other states to become solvent.. but that means govt becoming "socialistic" by competing). The other problem is that unemployment is high and half of our homes are sitting on the market or are in foreclosure.

When I heard Joe the Dead Intern mention Jeb Bush as the Rep. leader, I nearly fell on the floor.. He rigged the system for 8yrs, walked away from a mess for ole' Crist, and out of party loyalty, Crist refuses to go after the fraud that Bush left him. Not to mention the pension plan that Bush Co. pissed away once he left and became a "private" company.. that's another blood boiler.. ANYway.. I want the Bush name the most deadliest name ever... Throw them out.. they're goal is to ruin this country.. they want Fascism.

12. I don't even understand why he's a Republican.. If he was a democrat,
he'd be able to openly date whoever he chose... and he'd be able to tax the hell out of the rich.

6. I doubt he'll make a public endorsement
I just have the feeling he's laying low, but he'll probably vote for Obama. Of course, maybe if someone sought him out for his opinion, he might give it up. He seems to have been forgotten by the media.

9. It depends.
If Obama had a hand in the Powell endorsement, then I could see it happening. What I mean by that, is it's very possible Powell told Obama he was going to endorse a month ago and Obama told him to hold out for maximum impact. What better way than to roll it out two weeks before the election? If he did that, then I would not be surprised if by next week he rolled out Hagel.

However, if Powell came to this on his own and then told Obama he was going on Meet the Press to endorse, it's possible Hagel will not be rolled out and if he is, it won't be Obama's doing. My gut tells me Hagel very well could be next, along with Michael Bloomberg who did say he would be open to endorsing either candidate.
