Repubs trying to push Democrats as part of hate.
:wtf:?
A republican friend sent this to me telling me that the Democratic party is the part of hate: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/31/politics/campaign/31protest.html?ei=5006&en=a9ba78aba9c3fa99&ex=1094616000&partner=ALTAVISTA1&pagewanted=print&position
I unloaded on him and asked him if he watch any of the hate fest last week!
What the hell will we see next?
:wtf:

3. If he does and it is worthy of posting I will share it!
Usually when I debunk the rhetoric he gets fed, he will back off. I really went off on him this time. And I thought I was about there with him. Maybe I can still get through.

2. Personally, I'm full of hatred for these people...
How can any working person feel otherwise about the people behind the war that the conserva-nazis have been waging since RAYGUN? Yeah, I hate them.

4. It's a tactic to demoralize the Dems.
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 05:21 PM by DianeG5385
It's how abusers operate. Don't respond to stupidity. Mark it as stupid and register one person to vote. That will be the best revenge. Responding to illogic will hurt the brain. Just tell him he is stupid and deluded and you won't respond to that kind of junk! You don't have to be nice and try to get him to see your point of view. He won't get it.

5. Of course they are....they can't discuss ISSUES...
Why the hell any Democrat would want to play along with the GOP strategy by going negative after last week's Republican meltdown is beyond me...

6. there were more than a quarter of a million protestors in NYC
and only 1800 arrests

did you send him the video of the young republican repeatedly KICKING a small woman after he pushed her to the floor? and the picture of the woman assaulting a Kerry supporter at a recent Kerry rally?

7. The phenomenon known as PROJECTION
We marched for peace and they called us traitors, terrorist sympathizers, anti-troop, and hateful.

Their talking heads spend three to four hours a day on radio and tv telling calling Kerry a liar, a wimp, anti-American, french(?), and call us anti-American because we don't agree with the president and then they have the audacity to call US the party of hatred.

We have a convention with a message of hope and help for a better America while they spend the majority of their convention bashing our candidate and the democratic party as un-American for daring to exercise our constitutional rights and they call us the party of anger and hatred.

It is similar to the fundamentalist Chrisitians who rail against gays saying gay people are trying to recruit and indoctrinate their children, but you never see gay people showing up on your doorstep trying to recruit you and trying to get all children to say a christian prayer daily in school and teach creationism.

It is a tactic of projecting your shortcomings on to your opponents.

8. Worked with McCain, so watch out
Bushminions hit him with negative on top of negative on top of negative in South Carolina. When McCain finally told him to stop it (not what I'd call overly negative), bush had his response all ready - in Michigan, the next primary... "Now John McCain is atttacking me! Stop the negativity and stick to Issues, John..."

It worked very well and another couple of days might have seen bush* take Michigan. As it was, McCain dropped in Michigan polls substantially in the week between S.C. and MI primaries.

Just a reminder. These people are slime. Don't give them ANY opening. Don't be snarky, just be calmly truthful and "concerned" when you have to bring up a negative about bush.
