Wow, great letters to the editor in my republican area
One was from someone saying that this time they are not voting just on the one issue of abortion, that prolife candidates have had numerous chances to do something about it and never have. And with the economic situation she is not voting just on pro life this time.

One sound off call said.. "Sarah Palin reminds me of a high school cheerleader. You know, the one everybody hopes will fall on her face into a mud puddle during homecoming in front of everyone."

Here is another one.. "How sad that people who claim to be Christians and attend Church can be hate-filled bigots. Fear and anger and bending of the truth have dummied you down. Maybe you should dust off yoru Bible, actually open it and read "Do not judge lest ye be judged". Souls have no color or political persuasion. Real, live people have just as many rights as a fetus or animal. Where have you been after the children are born, beaten to death, starved to death and neglected? Everyone has the right to life, from birth to death."

Another one "I am neither a democrat or republican. I have voted for both parties. This year I am voting for Obama. Recently a young woman with two small children knocked on my door and asked if anyone had bothered me since I had put an Obama-Biden sign in my yard. She said after she put up an Obama sign, her Halloween decorations were vandalized.... Every republican should be ashamed that this is now the image their party has--that a young mother would fear for the safety of her children if she disagrees with them politically. Visible people in the republican party need to stand up and take back control of their party from the far-right wingnuts."

And this one... "...I am 20 year disabled military veteran. I voted for Bush, and have paid the price fo this eight years in office with sub-standard health care, fuel prices and home mortgage scandals. I have had to wait 45 days for a medical appt at an Ohio VA clinic, yet convicted felons doing life in prison get medical care within 12 - 24 hours. Something is wrong with this picture. Ohio veterans have been refused medical care by the Ohio VA..... I can't in good faith vote for John McCain. Should something happen to him, Palin would assume his role. We might as well paint a target on every son and daughter who is serving in the military. Every country with an ax to grind with USA will test Palin for her resolve and lack of experience... As a 20 year disabled veteran, I am not a republican or democrat. I'm an American. My vote has to go for change. My vote has to mean something. I can't go through eight more years of the same Bush economics. Freedom isn't free.

There was only one "pro" McCain/Palin, and I put that in quotes because the person said they liked neither McCain or Obama. He thinks Obama will screw up our military and take away our guns, and if McCain gets in he will raise our taxes and we will go into economic depression.. bwhahahaha

2. It is telling
when a letter talks of Republicans stealing signs and vandalizing places. McCain is not condemning this, and so it continues--and continues to make more people decide the GOP is a party of thugs and wingnuts.

3. i was just shocked to see this. Especially considering I'm
the one who had the post about being in SW Ohio and everyone around here loves Palin. McCain signs are everywhere here. To read these made my day!

4. The veteran is right when he says that a Palin presidency (makes me shudder just thinking about it)
would paint a target on our troops everywhere - THAT ought to make some of these fuckers think about just what the hell they are doing. Unfortunately, rational thought is NOT a strong suit among rePigliCons...

5. I really like the one about people who claim to be Christians and
the one about Rebubs not respecting personal property or the opinions of others.
