Just based on my really quick survey of what the right wing talking heads are spouting today (I really can't handle much of them), it's nothing but that: ooooh, watch out for things TIGHTENING UP! (Tell that to my ass, wish it would.)

Gaps are closing! Things are narrowing! McCain is trying to SEAL THE DEAL!

The thing is, I don't think reality really bears out what they're spouting. It seems like a lot of wishful thinking. And about all they have left.


(I'm serious on the ass thing. I wonder if I yell "TIGHTEN UP!" at it enough, that'll work? Sorry, right wing pundits just make me think of things like asses.)

2. Yeah, they're three days behind.....

.... prime example, Gallup has gone from a 6 to an 8 to a 10 point spread in the last three days.

And some GI Joe dude got on the TV and said he thought Obama was cool and all this morning. That might have an effect on things. ;)

That tends to suggest that red states are getting redder, and the blue states are holding steady.
