I am not happy about the Powell endorsement.
I am ecstatic.

While he is certainly not my favorite person under the sun and I still carry a grudge about his enabling of the Iraq war, I know that many people towards the middle of the political spectrum have an enormous amount of respect for him.

For me, it's a huge victory for Obama and goes a bit of the way toward making up for the damage he caused.

2. It's a huge victory. I respect him for leaving the Bush admin.
That proved to me that he knew it was wrong. He believed they had
weapons of mass destruction and was lied to like everyone else.

3. Even better because McCain didn't get to claim him in his corner

4. Powell always sides with the frontrunner, and always apologizes
for siding with the frontrunner before that one. If Obama fails, Powell wil do a mea culpa for this endorsement as he moves back to the other side.

No matter. If it helps Obama win, and it costs us nothing, it works for me. Doesn't change my opinion of Powell, though.

6. Hey, Powell could have
endorsed mccain today on mtp but from his ringing Obama endorsement and just exactly why..that would have been out of the question!
