I sat there, scared shitless, watching Powell at the UN talking about mobile weapons units.

I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR THOSE LIES.
I will also never forgive him for convincing the ranking member of the SFRC for voting for the IWR
(Biden - from his book Promise To Keep).

But, he is a respected figure in Republican circles and he just told McCain that it's over.

That's all this endorsement was.

And for all those people out there sitting on the fence about Obama not being experienced enough to be Commander in Chief ~ Powell just told them that Obama is the right man for right now.

It's not what we think of Powell that matters.
What really matters is that a staunch republican is voting for Obama instead of McCain.

3. no shit Sherlock
I just watched 'Missing' with Sissy Spacec and Jack Lemon about an american journalist in Chile during the '73 nazi style coup that overthrew the legal government of Salvador Allende- in one scene the US ambassador says something idiotic to Charlie Horman's wife and father such as 'he could be in big trouble if he wasn't being careful' (all while knowing full well that Charlie Horman had learned about US agents abetting and funding the coup, so he had already been executed!) and Horman's wife, played by Sissy Spacec instantly replied 'no shit Sherlock' which was perfect! (Nataniel davis, the real US ambassador to Chile, sued the movie and author etc, back in the 80's to try prevent the movie/book from being shown/sold in USA)
