Limbaugh implies Powell's endorsement is based on race and that Powell is a liar
http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1008/Limbaugh_Where_are_the_inexperienced_white_liberals_Powell_has_endorsed.html

Limbaugh: Where are the inexperienced, white liberals Powell has endorsed?

Rush Limbaugh said Colin Powell's decision to get behind Barack Obama appeared to be very much tied to Obama's status as the first African-American with a chance to become president.

"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with."

As for Powell's statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote: "I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let's hear it for transformational figures."

And they start eating their own.

Bon appetite

2. I care about what Limbaugh is talking about today,
about as much as I cared about what limbaugh was saying yesterday, and the day before.

3. did anyone really expect him to say anything different?
The politico comments got me really upset, but it's typical freeper bullshit. I think this just highlights the split that the Republican party is having between hate radio Republicans and Intellectual Conservatives.

10. I think Rush is a net negative for the republican party at this time.
Perhaps the powers that be don't get it yet but another drubbing next month could light off some long dormant thinking processes. Will Rush be carrying new water? Or will he represent a fragment of the party? Time will tell.
