NOW can we be a little cocky??
After Obama's donation numbers from September and the Powell endorsement, can we take a minute to cheer? Not stay home November 4...not go on a two week bender and miss the election...not stop calling...but just

CELEBRATE!!!!!

We can be cocky _after_ a record turn-out of 1st-time voters.
Until then, remember to take a couple friends to the poll on Nov 4.

10. I allowed myself the luxury of a happy dance this morning
when Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama for President, but I'm still going out today to shore up support in the community. Who says the two are mutually exclusive? Why can't I celebrate a victory while still doing everything I can for our candidate?

21. Why is a little 'woo hoo' interpreted as a call to stop donating? Especially when
I specifically said that we SHOULDN'T stop doing everything we can to get Obama elected?

24. Don't celebrate until we're in the endzone
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F0CE7DF1439F932A35751C0A965958260

Lett had fumbled his chance for Super Bowl glory when he did some premature celebrating after picking up a Frank Reich fumble at the Dallas 35-yard line and rumbling toward the end zone. A 6-foot-6-inch, 287-pound tackle, Lett is certainly no speedster, but he didn't have to be. The entire right side of the field was clear for him, and he was ahead of everyone else, galomphing toward what would be his first touchdown "since I was 10 years old playing pee-wee football."

Dallas was winning handily. The game was winding down. For Lett, the temptation to showboat was too great.

He slowed a bit as he got inside the Buffalo 10, then held the football out to the side in his right hand. This provided just enough time for Don Beebe, the Bills' fleet wide receiver, to catch up to Lett and swipe at the ball, knocking it from Lett's hand at the 1-yard line. Only a Touchback

The ball rolled through the end zone for a touchback, and Buffalo took over at the 20.

No touchdown, no glory, no excuses.

25. Many don't seem to remember 2004....
There was constant talk on here about a Kerry landslide. Anyone who expressed concern was poo-poohed, or worse....

Considering the republican efforts at voter supression...combined with the voting machine issues we see every year, I can't see how anyone in here can think this will be a slam dunk. Republicans are experts at playing dirty, especially when they're backed into a corner.

I'll be holding off my celebrating until after election night.
