HBO's Bill Maher talked with Republican pollster Frank Luntz about his prediction for the outcome of the 2008 presidential race.

This video is from HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, broadcast October 17, 2008.

1. That appearance was fucking pathetic
Frank Luntz was trying to push the idea that Democrats shouldn't beat up on Republicans because that'd make them lose the race. Yeah, it implies that Obama's winning only be being divisive and of course, we all know the real truth on that assumption. Plus, it's retarded for Luntz to say this when the Republicans are only politically successful when they have a convenient scapegoat to beat up on. Ugh... just so many things wrong with what this stupid fucker said that I can't even elucidate it very well...

2. What was Luntz's problem?
Was it me, or was he really on edge on the show?

I kept thinking that there was some bad history between Maher and him (beyond being politically opposed). Near the end Bill was trying to give him a friendly pat on the arm or shoulder and Luntz jerked away saying "stop touching me".

I should rewatch the show to see if something led up to that.

3. He is on edge because he knows if he tells the truth that Hannity Rush and O'Reilly
will kick his ass.
