I used to say that the best way to a woman's heart is sincerity... If you can fake that you've got it made.

Sarah Palin knows how to fake sincerity and only the weak minded are taken in by her.

So SNL, was a pretty good feather in her cap. But the fact remains, that she'll go the way of Dan Quayle once the election is over.

She'll have no further viability to graduate beyond her governorship.

She should look at a career in comedy.

1. There are unfortunate people who have no insides and who have to
fake everything. That's what they do.

And I won't say anything about her future in comedy.

2. How did I know ...
... that this was a Mr. Scorpio post just from the thread title?

3. Nance, what did you think of the SNL appearance?
I think the stuff she appeared in was funny, but she wasn't. She seemed uncomfortable, and the writers gave her almost nothing funny to do.

What will the media make of this? Is this her big comeback? Are we screwn?

5. Her performance was, as they say ...
... "serviceable". She did herself no harm, nor did she do herself any good.

The thing is, when you're a candidate for the vice presidency of the United States, and SNL is your last hope of "connecting" with voters, you're already screwn.

The support she LOST by appearing on that left-wing, commie, drug-infested, liberal, nothing-is-sacred "comedy" show will probably do her a world of hurt among her own "base".

:smoke:

11. I'm watching it in L.A. now.
As a comedy writer in a past life, believe me, they gave her funny stuff to do. Lots of versions of funny stuff. She couldn't do it, so they ended up giving her bland stuff that she could handle. I guarantee this. She's not funny, at least not intentionally.

4. She does already have something of a career in comedy.
She is, after all, the butt of many jokes. :)

7. What's more is that she reminds me of the Friendly Angel alien on Star Trek
Edited on Sun Oct-19-08 02:04 AM by MrScorpio
Yeah, you remember the one convinced all those human settler kids that it was a good thing that their parents died?

Once they saw the alien for the evil fucker that he was, all the gloss fell away and they were left with the realization that he hosed them big time.

Remember that?

Well that's Sarah Palin.

This is some serious shit we're dealing with right now... Life and death.

I juxtapose all the frivolity with that and I can't wait until she's out of the spotlight.

10. Amen to that, MrS.
She scares me more than McSame.

He would be bad enough, if he managed to cheat his way into the White House, but Palin?

God save us!

That woman is going out of her way to incite race riots and other hate-based shit, all the while winking at everyone as if she's running for nothing more than head cheerleader of Wasilla High.

She is definitely a scary mofo, and the quicker she fades from the spotlight, the better.

13. That is the perfect analogy.
Palin represents all that is wrong with America--but wrapped in a pretty package.

Once a person peeks inside the box, you get the horrors of hell unleashed right in your face.

That's why people cannot be bowled over by her performance on SNL. We've got to realize that this woman is dangerous and an anathema to our nation.

16. She is talk radio
She used the RNC template to win the mayoral race in a town of 7,000 (she made it about abortion and gun control :eyes: ) and she still is just mouthing what they say on talk radio. She is just more suitable ;-) to TV.

17. I agree except for "...she'll go the way of Dan Quayle once the election is over."
Cuz Dan Quayle went to the VP's office. Palin will, hopefully, be going back to Alaska.
