Voted in the rural part of my county in NC. I pulled in and there were 3 McCain signs lining the entrance and not one Obama sign. I then realized I should have went to the main city of the county to vote because theres a huge AA population there, and I would have felt more at home with fellow Democrats.
I parked close to the building to avoid being hammered by the sidewalk liners, since I didn't really feel like hearing about McCain the maverick or any other GOP trash that they wanted to throw at me. One lady managed to get to me, but it was for a non-partisan office who I already intended to vote for. Turns out, she knew my brother, a local police officer, and said some nice things about him to butter me up.
I voted Obama/Biden, straight party Dem (No Independents that I liked), and some local people that I knew for NP offices. I couldn't resist the urge on the last choice and decided to write-in my name for "Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor".
Hopefully I'll have some extra money to go by the local campaign HQ Monday to get some Obama signs for the runways to the election building--The rural areas of my county are often overlooked.
