Obama will not win West Virginia if he does not visit the state
I have been pleasantly surprised that Obama has been running a tight race in West Virginia these last few weeks. The conventional wisdom was that Appalachia did not like him, but evidently many of these folks are least giving him a chance.

He has some ads on the air, offices all over the state and a ground game, but yet Obama has not scheduled a visit to WV. These are the type of folks that want to see and meet the people who are asking for their votes. This is especially true if that person does not look like them (think Jack Kennedy the Catholic rich boy in 1960).

I hope Obama finds time to make a WV visit soon.

1. I'd rather him focus on states he's winning already.
Virginia, Missouri, Colorado, Florida and Ohio.

West Virginia would be nice, but it doesn't have many electoral votes and if he carries Virginia or Missouri or Florida or Ohio, West Virginia doesn't matter.

He can shore up those states, then yes, go to WV and try to RUTS on McCain. But unless those states become solid Obama, I'd much rather he spend his time there.

5. With all the hate being festered by McCain, I'd just as soon Obama stay away from WVa.. sorry, but
I remember the videos of the people there and the signs, during the primary.

That said, I feel certain Obama and his Team know what they're doing.

9. He comes to California often
and if you have $30,000 to spare, you can even get to see him and chat with him.

California: the Great ATM machine for politicians.
