Please explain to me HOW a serious national security concern would help McCain/Palin?
Edited on Sat Oct-18-08 03:04 PM by Skwmom
Okay, some people mistakenly think McCain is qualified on national security AFTER being a big cheerleader for the Iraq debacle and AFTER acting in such a stupid manner that he all but guaranteed that Russia would take further action against Georgia. Does anyone remember Mr. Loud Mouth talking all tough, Russia then taking further action and McCain acting all flustered when questioned, saying Obama shouldn't try to make it a political issue? If you talk smack to a former KGB agent you can pretty well guarantee that he won't back down for fear of looking weak before the world. The stupidity of McCain is mind boggling.

But even though some people think McCain is actually qualified on national security, what about Sarah Palin, the dumber part of the dumb/dumber ticket? There is a VERY STRONG possibility that it would be Pres Palin who would be responsible for handling the next national security crisis.

How in the heck could that possibly help John McCain?

2. Because the media says it would
They do control perceptions of so many people. I don't think anything would help other than theft at this point.

7. Exactly. If something is repeated enough, it becomes conventional wisdom to the public
regardless of its logical basis or accuracy.

3. Most of the newspaper endorsements mention
How Obama is calm, cool and collected, and smart.

By now, voters are realizing whatever happens, Obama would handle it better.

4. I don't think that it would anymore
At one time, the perception was that McCain could better handle a national security crisis because of his years of experience in the Senate. But I think he dissolved that perception with his recent erratic behavior during the econ. crisis.

Really.
