11. I'm terrible at carving

You can't really see it in the second pumpkin (the symbol one), but I cut through some of the smaller spaces, and had to reattach them with toothpicks!

On the pattern (the second picture), the black area is a cut-through area, and the gray means to take off the skin. You need to scrap the inside to about a half-inch thick for it to come out right.

15. This will only take like 3-4 hours to do...

It really isn't that hard. And as for tools, you can get a set of "V" woodworking tools at any craft store for under 5 bucks...
