3. Kerry trailed in poll average by 2.7%... eventually lost by 3%
Obama leads (this group of polls) by about 4.7% average

5. Thanks for posting this... I got an email the other day....
... from a Republican claiming that at this time in 2000, Al Gore was leading Bush in the polls by 10 points. I looked everywhere for verification of that and couldn't find it... and I kept thinking to myself, "I don't remember that at all, Gore leading Bush by 10 points in October!"
