New Ad? Medicare FLIP FLOP

His aides also released a hard-hitting new advertisement showing Mr. Bush promising on Thursday night at the Republican convention to help the elderly, a day before federal officials announced the biggest-ever dollar increase in Medicare premiums, raising the monthly cost by $11.60, to $78.20.

"I believe we have a moral responsibility to honor America's seniors," Mr. Bush is shown saying in his acceptance speech. "Now seniors are getting immediate help."

"The very next day," an announcer intones, "George Bush imposes the biggest Medicare premium increase in history while prescription drug costs still skyrocket. The wrong direction for America."

5. Medicare sucks
and it will suck even more soon enough when the premiums go up again.

I just realized yesterday that Medicare does not pay for mammograms (I had scheduled one and canceled it just the other day). Isn't' that a great way to "honor America's seniors" (what about the disabled?)?

Maybe cancer is a low-priority for people like myself I can only guess (best to be rid of the lot of us).

This whole Medicare scam makes me sick :puke: the more I hear about it.

6. This significant increase in Medicare premiums,
plus the Medicare Prescription bill that, by law, forbids Medicare from negotiating lower prices for seniors, are going to turn seniors away from voting from Bush. With two months to go before the election a lot of seniors who voted for Bush in 2000 are going to finally wake up to what is going on. I fully expect Florida to go to Kerry this time, in spite of Jeb's efforts to steal the election for his brother. Recent polls that show Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania going for Bush are wrong; Kerry will win them all.
