My wife and I just voted for Obama! We had breakfast at Hardees.
It was a paper ballot that was scanned and the paper ballot is kept in case of a recount. They used to use touch screens but people complained because of voter fraud. I took my time marking the box. My wife said she felt happy, to the point of being giddy, because it felt so good to be able to vote, in a history making event, to elect the first African American as President.

2. Great. How was breakfast? Never had breakfast at Hardee's
Never voted for an African-American for president, either. Think I will do that first.

9. Me too (in Virginia)
And there was a long line to vote today at the Courthouse in Arlington, which is probably one of the most Democratic precincts in the state. We don't even have no-excuse absentee voting, so I was surprised by the line.

I voted on paper but it made me nervous...I actually think I like the machines better. I scanned my paper ballot into a machine but there was no way to get confirmation that it went through and was counted properly.
