Not Sure WHERE To Post This, But I'm Having A Problem With My Comcast
connection. After I shut down my computer then try to boot up again, the COMCAST EMAIL PAGE appears and I have to sign in each and every time. It won't remember my name or password even when I click on the box that asks me if I want it to be remembered. Now I DON'T use Comcast as my Email Page, I use Outlook, but my HOME PAGE is Comcast, I just never changed it since I got Comcast. I DO plan to switch over after the election to a Verizon Bundle, but don't want any down time BEFORE the election. I've called Comcast about 7 times and told them about this and was FINALLY told that this was "for my protection" and ALL ISP's were doing the same thing.

What I want to know... Is This True??

ALSO, I have been doing a lot of campaign work for Obama and local candidates and I HAVE "caller ID" but yesterday I was actually talking to my daughter on the phone and instead of hearing the "beep" of an incoming call, the phone actually RANG and we got disconnected! Just like it rings if I was getting an incoming call when I'm NOT on it! Does ANYONE know what THAT means??? I have NEVER had that happen on ANY phone I've EVER had in my entire life, and I've had the SAME phone number for 24 years!

I realize this sounds like I'm paranoid or something, but back in 2004 and (THIS IS THE TRUTH) about a month before the election both my daughter and I always heard "beeps" on our phone when we would have conversations. AFTER the election, the beeps went away! We never pursued the issue because we actually figured it had SOMETHING to do with the election. Now, four years later just before another National Election, it seems to me that "funny" things are happening again.

Am I STOOOPPIIIDDD????

6. We've had odd Comcast issues lately too.
I used to leave my email program open anytime I was on the computer, but it kept forcing me to enter the password for my account, despite checking the box to remember it in my key chain. Now I keep it open only when I'm actually using it. Comcast's mail page never appears though.

The other really odd thing is the Emergency Broadcast System Alert. I realize they have to a weekly test of the system, but it's usually done in the middle of the night. One ran on Thursday afternoon, and 4 ran yesterday afternoon during a 3-hour span. What's up with that? :tinfoilhat:

And my phone line is always clicking, so fuck you, Comcast. I'm no threat to anyone.

7. We had problems with Comcast shutting down our internet
Especially when we were trying to download, run video, and recieve/send large files (one of our buisnesses is T-shirts/graphic art and we regularly deal with huge files). Switched to Qwest earlier this year and the problems cleared up. I think some of it stems from them wanting people to pay for their premium 'professional' services which give you more leeway as far as downloads, mailboxes, features, etc. As for the phone tapping...well we're probably all in the same pile there.

10. They're making some changes
The other day, a friend in Chicago said that Comcast was making changes to the web email. It was completed this morning. So your issues may be related.

My Outlook Express was very slow the other day or couldn't connect. It's still a little slow. But I'm on Comcast in Colorado.

11. Well, I Don't LIKE Having To Sign In All the Time. But I Don't Even Use Comcast Email!
I don't like the page opening up with Comcast email, then having to log on, then having to go to Outlook, then having the home page come up!

Oh well, it won't be for long. After November 4, I'm switching anyway!

I have to go to their office and show my ID or they won't install my calbe.
I have never been asked to do that by any other company.
